Giants Winning Streak vs. Rockies Ends at 10, Giants commit 4 errors in Loss

The San Francisco Giants comeback magic was not there tonight as the Giants got down 10 – 5, ultimately coming back to make it a one run game in the eighth inning, but could not get that tying run home as Colorado Rockies closer, Rafael Betancourt, struck out three for a perfect ninth inning save.
The Giants led 4 – 0 after three innings, but made four errors.  This is something very unlike the Giants who have great defensive players in every position.  Three of the errors were throwing errors and the Giants need to get back to the fundamentals.  They have made nine errors in the past four games.
Making four errors will cost you, especially at Coors Field.  The real dagger to the Giants was a grand slam off the bat of Jordan Pacheco, which put the Rockies up 9 – 5.  Carlos Gonzalez added a solo shot in the seventh inning.
Madison Bumgarner lasted 4.2 innings and gave up seven runs, with five earned runs.
The Giants ended their 10 game winning streak against the power packed Colorado Rockies with the 10 – 9 loss.  Tomorrow, Tim Lincecum looks to build off his strongest start of the year as he takes on Tyler Chatwood.
